Good to know
Do my files ever leave my device?
No. Conversion and editing happen locally. The site downloads its own code, fonts, and WASM engine, but never uploads your documents. Closing this tab releases the document data. Theme and language preferences are saved locally.
Will the formatting be identical?
Not always. PDF output uses rhwp's rendered pages with a searchable text layer. HWP ↔ Word and PDF → HWP are text conversions: images, table structure, and original formatting are not preserved. Review the result before using it.
Which files are supported?
HWP 5.x and HWPX can be converted to PDF or DOCX. DOCX and text-based PDFs can be converted to HWP. Encrypted, password-protected, scanned, or damaged documents may not be supported. Legacy Word .doc files are not supported.
What can I edit?
The locally hosted rhwp Studio lets you type directly on the page, select text, change formatting, and edit tables. HWP/HWPX saving and printing are available in the File menu. Complex documents may render or save differently from Hancom.
